Dental Assistant
I help prepare you for each procedure by taking X-rays, impressions and photographs. I also assist Dr. Stefani with all procedures including orthodontics, teeth polishing, and applying fluoride treatments. You'll find me to be both friendly and compassionate. It matters to me that you feel comfortable and important. After all, you're the reason I'm here doing a job I absolutely love. I live with my spouse and our Shetland sheepdog. I enjoy gardening, long walks and visiting the Oregon Coast.

I have been with Dr. Stefani for over eight years and enjoy greeting and meeting everyone as they arrive at our office. I love to work closely with you to ensure that all your dental questions and any concerns are answered along with scheduling all your dental visits. I will work together with you to ensure that the all of your paperwork, insurance issues and claims are handled promptly and thoroughly. I am excited to have you experience our office and become a new member of our dental family.
Outside of the office I have a busy life with my husband and children who cover the full spectrum from kindergarten age to young adult starting heading out on their own. I love spending my free time with family and friends.

Your mouth is the gateway to your overall health. We are discovering that there are links and connections between your oral health and heart disease, diabetes, lung disease and osteoporosis, to name a few.
I look forward to helping you to develop a self care prevention program that is personalized for your specific oral hygiene goals. As your personal oral hygiene coach I can provide tips, suggestions and feedback to motivate you every step of the way towards a healthy happy mouth.
When I am not helping out at Dr. Stefani’s office with his amazing team I take my dental hygiene services mobile to elders in long-term care facilities. I also teach 4th year UBC dental hygiene degree students their community service learning module in residential care. When I have free time, I love to travel the world with Glen. It's part of my life-long project called “Educating Susan”.

I'm a local gal who grew up outside of Mission, BC, first specializing in HR, administration, and payroll, then after living three years in Switzerland, I returned to pursue a dental career in 2009. As an empathetic and skilled dental professional, it’s my privilege to assist in making your experience at our office as relaxed, upbeat, and as comfortable as possible. In regards to personal interests, I enjoy summer sports and giving back to the community.
